The Bulgarian government has decided that, effective January 1, 2026, the minimum monthly wage will increase by 12.6% to EUR 620.20 (BGN 1,213). The minimum hourly wage is set at EUR 3.74 (BGN 7.31).
The increase will affect the qualifying salary thresholds for the single permit for residence and work and the intra-corporate transferee card.
Bulgaria is adopting the euro currency from January 1, 2026.
