Brazil-China Reciprocal Visa Exemption: 30-day Visa-Free Travel Update for 2026

The governments of Brazil and China have announced that, effective May 11, 2026, Chinese citizens can travel to Brazil without a visa for trips of up to 30 days.

Brazilian nationals have already been able to visit China without a visa since May 2025. The reciprocal exemptions are valid until December 31, 2026.

The measure applies to travel for tourism, business, artistic, cultural, recreational, and sporting purposes, as well as visits to family members and participation in conferences, congresses, or meetings.
