Austria Adjusts Requirements for Travelers

From January 24, 2022, the Government of Austria downgraded the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Norway. As a result, travelers from these countries will have less restrictive rules to follow upon entry to Austria.

What to Expect
  • Travelers from these countries who have completed the vaccination requirement, including having received a booster shot or recovered within the last 180 days, do not have to quarantine upon arrival.
  • Travelers must present a negative COVID test result taken within 48 hours of their arrival.
Vaccination Requirement Changes for All Travelers
  • From February 1, the Austrian government will shorten the validity of vaccination passports to 270 days.
  • To meet the “2-G” status, travelers would need to have taken their second dose or booster within the last 180 days.
