Alejandra Zapatero Named to the Lawyers on the Fast Track by the California Legal Awards

The Recorder (Law.com) has announced the 2023 California Legal Awards, honoring Alejandra Zapatero, a partner and shareholder of Erickson Immigration Group (EIG), with the Lawyers on the Fast Track award. The California Legal Awards celebrate the achievements of lawyers and companies leading technology, innovation and the profession as a whole. The awards will be announced at the California Legal Awards on November 2, 2023, in San Francisco, CA.

Lawyers on the Fast Track recognizes the next generation of legal leaders, practitioners under 40 years old and with a legal practice based in California. Honorees are chosen by the Recorder’s senior newsroom leaders, with those with the most relevant substantive expertise and knowledge of the geographic region coming together to review the submissions.

Alejandra leads EIG’s San Francisco office and is an equal Shareholder and Partner of EIG — a 50% minority-female-owned law firm and a Best Law Firm for Women & Diversity (Seramount).

Zapatero has been practicing immigration law for 10+ years in Virginia, Washington DC, and California, where she is a trusted corporate immigration expert in US and global matters for startups to Fortune 500 companies, supporting foreign workers seeking temporary and permanent employment in the U.S. Alejandra advises employers on establishing and refining immigration programs, including strategies for hiring, compliance, and complex immigration matters resulting from corporate restructuring, including mergers, acquisitions, and reductions-in-force.

“I am very proud to be recognized by Law.com and the California Legal Awards as a Lawyer on the Fast Track 7 years after opening our firm’s second office globally, in San Francisco. The California legal community shines for its talent, diversity, and dedication and I look forward to continuing to support its success,” said Alejandra Zapatero, EIG Partner and Shareholder.

In addition to the Lawyers on the Fast Track award, Alejandra has been named a Lawyer of Distinction (2023) and awarded the Worldwide ERC® Meritorious Service Award (2023).
