The Department of State (DOS) has provided additional guidance for the processing of waivers for individuals who are impacted by President Trump’s third Travel Ban. The letter provides insight into the eligibility requirements, such as Undue Hardship, National Security/Public Safety, and National Interest. Despite the additional guidance, obtaining a waiver of the entry restrictions imposed by the third Travel Ban has been extremely difficult, with very few waivers approved from the thousands of requests received since December 2017.
