The Government of Austria announced that travelers to the country would no longer have to follow COVID-19 protective measures. The changes go into effect as of March 5, 2022.
To avoid additional requirements, travelers will need to present their health status upon arrival using the NHS COVID app, the EU COVID Pass, or its international equivalent.
- Proof of complete vaccination (at least 2 jabs) OR proof of past infection (the medical document needs to show the date of recovery
- OR a negative PCR test (valid for 72 hours) OR a negative LFT/antigen test (valid for 24 hours)
- This applies to arrivals from all countries.
- Children under the age of 12 do not need to show proof of vaccination/recovery or a test.
- Travelers entering Austria with “3-G” proof do NOT need pre-travel clearance. However, pre-travel clearance is required when entering without “3-G” proof.
Travelers without proof of vaccination/recovery or a negative test must self-isolate pending the result of a COVID test.
