USCIS Q2 2025 Data & Form I-129 Update

On June 30, 2025, USCIS released data reports for Fiscal Year 2025, Quarter 2 (Q2), covering the period from January to March 2025. According to the data, USCIS completed 18% fewer cases in Q2 of FY 2025 compared to the same period last year. The pending caseload also increased by 1.6 million during Q2. The median processing time for Form I-129 Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker increased by more than 80% compared to a year ago, and the number of pending I-765 Application for Employment Authorization increased by 87% compared to the end of Q1. 

On a separated update, USCIS also announced that, starting July 30, 2025, it would only accept the 1/20/25 edition of Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker. The new form reflects changes from the H-1B final rule and H-2 final rule. The edition date can be found at the bottom of the page on Form I-129.
