Sonja Roque-Cruz

Senior Attorney, International Practice

Sonja Roque Cruz is an attorney in Erickson Immigration Group’s International Practice. Sonja has extensive experience representing a variety of clients in corporate immigration matters. Her primary focus is working with Global (EMEA, APAC, and AMER) employment-based visas as well as global immigration compliance and global mobility.  

She also has experience with U.S. nonimmigrant (NIV) and immigrant (IV) employment-based visas, drafting responses to complex Requests for Evidence for H-1B and EB-2 NIW petitions. 

Prior to focusing her career on immigration matters, Sonja practiced a broad range of civil and family matters as a solo practitioner for five years in Puerto Rico. She also assists with Pro-Bono cases, specializing in SJIS petitions and Green Card applications. 

In her free time, Sonja likes teaching Salsa and Bachata as well as traveling, taking care of dogs, and going to the beach.
