Denmark | The government will increase lockdown measures ahead of the holidays, closing public gathering places, restaurants, and upper-grade schools, until at least January 3.

The United States | On Friday, New York federal judge Nicholas G. Garaufis ordered the Trump administration to fully reinstate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program on the basis that the acting Department of Homeland Security chief Chad Wolf did not have the authority to change the program in the first place.
“Accordingly, because Mr. Wolf was without lawful authority to serve as acting secretary of DHS, the Wolf Memorandum is vacated,” Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis said. “In light of the vacatur, all parties agree that the DACA program is currently governed by its terms as they existed prior to the attempted rescission of September 2017.”
The DACA program provides deportation relief and work permits to individuals brought to the US as children.
Judge Garaufis’s ruling follows a Supreme Court ruling in June to preserve the program. DACA and its beneficiaries have been under scrutiny throughout the Trump Administration.
