September 16, 2019

The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), the largest technology council in the country, has announced that Jerry Erickson, President and CEO of Erickson Immigration Group (EIG), has been elected to NVTC’s Board of Directors.

Also elected to the 2019-2020 board are Mr. Michael C. Condro, Partner Audit & Assurance, Deloitte & Touche LLP, Ms. Amy Gilliland, President, General Dynamics Information Technology, The Honorable Anne Holton, Interim President, George Mason University, Ms. Lorraine Lavet, Sector Leader – Association, Reston, Korn Ferry, and Dr. Kurt Newman, President & CEO, Children’s National.

“Immigration issues are business issues, and especially for the tech sector. Our partnership with NVTC has really highlighted the opportunities for us to share what we see on the immigration front to support the growth of local businesses, big and small, right here in Northern Virginia,” Erickson said. “I am looking forward to working with my talented fellow board members on behalf of the more than 300,000 NVTC member employees.”

Jerry Erickson founded EIG more than 20 years ago in Arlington, Virginia. Today, EIG is an industry leader in business immigration law, with more than 150 employees in Virginia and San Francisco, and a Global Alliance spanning more than 100 countries.
Because of the support of clients, colleagues, and partners like you, EIG is proud to be the trusted legal partner to some of the largest companies in the world.

In February 2019, Erickson Immigration Group hosted a panel on Immigration compliance and tech mobility with NVTC. The event highlighted recent policy positions and goals for tech industry leaders, as well as immigration compliance issues in the wake of increased enforcement. You can listen to that event here.
