The Department of State (DOS) is now accepting online registrations for FY 2020 Diversity Visa Lottery until November 6, 2018. The Diversity Visa Program, also known as “the green card lottery,” allows for 50,000 immigrant visas to be made available annually through random selection. The lottery is open to nationals of countries with low rates of immigration to the United States. The principal Diversity Visa applicant must meet certain qualifications including a high school degree, or its equivalent, or two years of qualifying work experience as defined under provisions of U.S. law.
