Singapore Introduces a Portal to Monitor the Health of Foreign Workers

In view of the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MoM) has developed a portal called FWMOMCare to monitor the health of foreign workers and gather the updated details for contact tracing purposes.

All S Pass holders are now required to download the app and register their details by today, December 23, 2020, or as soon as possible. Thereafter, there is a need to update the MoM of contact details within 5 days of any change.

In view of the deadline being today, please advise employees to follow the steps below to register themselves for the portal:

  1. Download ‘FWMOMCare’ on your mobile devices
  2. Once downloaded, register your mobile number and enter the OTP sent to your device via SMS
  3. Enable location services and update the fields requesting your contact details, including residential address

A step-by-step guide to the portal is linked here for your ease of reference.

As non-compliance with this requirement may result in severe penalties such as revocation of work passes and suspension of the company’s work pass privileges, please ensure you download the app and complete all the steps required above by today.

Erickson Immigration Group will continue to send updates as more news is available. If you have questions about anything we’re reporting above or case-specific questions, please contact your employer or EIG attorney.
