Update: Starting Tuesday, February 19, premium processing will again be available for all H-1B petitions filed on or before December 21, 2018. This includes all change of employer petitions, amendments, and extensions filed through that date. imple extensions of H-1B status without changes in employment remain eligible for Premium Processing, as they have been throughout the past year.
Next Step: EIG will be contacting clients with information about cases eligible for upgrades and will be following up with HR and Global Mobility teams regarding eligible employees.
Still suspended for many recently filed and future petitions: The Premium Processing suspension remains in place for H-1B change of employer petitions and amendments filed after December 21 and for cases moving forward, including FY2020 H-1B cap petitions. USCIS indicates that premium processing will resume for remaining categories “as agency workloads permit.”
