Bulgaria | From Friday, schools, shopping centers, gyms, and restaurants will close until December 21.

France | President Emmanuel Macron announced the start of France’s lockdown easing in three-parts:

Phase One, From November 28: Lockdown remains in place, but people will be able to go outside for three hours a day and within a 20 km radius of their homes. (Current conditions are 1 hour and 1 km.) Shops selling non-essential items and indoor religious centers will be allowed to reopen.

Phase Two, From December 15: Lockdown is lifted with a curfew in place from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Cinemas and theaters may reopen.

Phase Three, From January 20: Bars, restaurants, cafes, gyms, and universities can reopen.
The transition from each phase will depend on the continued downward trajectory.

Germany | The government is expected to decide today whether to extend the “lockdown light” until December 20. It is expected that the government will limit gatherings to just 5 people from December 1, with an easing to 10 people for Christmas and New Years.

Japan | On Tuesday, Japan and China agreed to resume travel between the countries by the end of the month for short-term business travel and long-term travel for expats.

Lithuania | The current lockdown has been extended until December 17.

Spain | On Wednesday, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said that the government might limit gatherings for December to six people.

The United States | US Airline officials told Reuters that the White House may end the COVID-19 related entry bans for most non-US citizens who recently traveled to Brazil, Britain, Ireland, and 26 European countries. The White House, Department of Homeland Security, and Centers for Disease Control did not comment on the reports.
